Air Pollution

Air is one of the most important elements of our environment. No creature can live a single moment without air. So, it is called the life-giving force. But this air is sometimes polluted in different ways and creates threat to our life.

The most common agent that pollutes air is smoke. Smoke of all kinds pollutes air by producing carbon monoxide and carbondioxide. Men make fires for cooking food, burning waste, melting pitch etc. Thus they create smoke which mixes with air and pollute it. The most serious air pollution occurs in big industrial areas where there are many big mills and factories as well as big cities where many buses, trucks and cars move on the roads every day. Deforestation also plays an important role in air pollution by increasing CO2 in the atmosphere. As a result, our environment is getting warm and losing its balance. Polluted air causes different incurable diseases to human beings.

To ensure a healthier and happier life, we must keep air free from pollution. Steps should be taken immediately to reduce air pollution. Tree plantation programme should be strengthened. The best way to prevent air pollution is to plant more trees and to take care of them. Above all, it is our strong civic sense that can act as the vanguard against air pollution. By preventing air pollution we can get a healthier and happier life.
