Sirajganj Sadar Hospital beset with host of problems

Staff Correspondent, Sirajganj, April 26 : Sirajganj Sadar Hospital beset with host of problems including lack of accommodation, shortage of doctors and medicine. For the last two months supply of electricity and water have been irregular. The patients have to bring water from outside. For want of electricity,operations, X-rays and pathological examination are being hampered.The atmosphere in the hospital is unhygienic and dirty. The toilets are in bad condition. There is no consultant physicians on medicine ,eye and dental. Moreover the hospital is not equipped with modern surgical instruments. The numbers of doctors and nurse are meagre in comparison to increasing patients. The poor patients who rush to the hospital are not getting proper treatment due to shortage of necessary medicine and doctors , it is complained. It is learnt that, the doctors of the hospital remain busy with their private practice without attending the regular duty in the hospital.

Local people have urged the authorities to take necessary steps to solve the problems of the hospital in order to ensure better medicare facilities for the suffering humanity.
