*** If clause টি যদি past perfect tense হয় তবে অপর clause হবে would have+ main verb(past participle) । 

প্রয়োগ ক্ষেত্র : বাক্য দ্বারা যখন এইরুপ শর্ত বুঝায়: আমি যদি শিমুলকে দেখতাম তবে তাকে জানাতাম ।

Structure: If + Subject + had + Principal verb (past participle form) + Object + , + Subject + would have + Principal verb (past participle form) + Object.

Example:

1. আমি যদি শিমুলকে দেখতাম তবে তাকে জানাতাম = If I had seen Shimul, I would have informed him.
2. যদি সেনাবাহিনী সেখানে না থাকত, অনেক মানুষ মারা যেত = If the army hadn't been there, many people would have died.
3. আমরা যদি সেখানে না থাকতাম, তবে বিপদে পড়তাম না = If we hadn't been there, we wouldn't have fallen in danger.
4. যদি তারা এটা দেখত, তবে আমাকে বলত = If they had seen, they would have told me. 
5. সে যদি আমার কলম চুরি করত তাকে শাস্তি দেওয়া হত = If he had stolen my pen, he would have been punished.
