Write a dialogue between you and your younger brother about the impact of western culture.

Myself: Hay Mintui! Where are you going?

Mintui: I am going to nightclub.

    Myself: Oh really?

Mintui: Yeah, I am going there regularly. As you usually live outside Dhaka for the last several years, you do not know that.

    Myself: You are too westernized!

Mintui: That’s true. Our role model is now Hollywood stars.

Myself: But why are you following them blindly?

Mintui: The thing is that our sole entertainment at home is Satellite television. That’s why we are getting influenced by them gradually.

Myself: So you are aware of that!

Mintui: Basically we are addicted to western culture and our culture is being washed away.

Myself: And that is our tragedy. If we lose our own culture, we will lose ourselves and as a nation, our existence will be at stake.

Mintui: But you know these are all better than ours.

Myself: No and never. Everything cannot be better, there are some good elements may be, but not all. And western culture is too harsh sometimes. They teach us to be freedom loving which sometimes makes our young to lead a carefree life.

Mintui: Sorry, I never think of that. I will try to control myself.

Myself: Please see that you are getting lost totally in the western culture. But try to grasp the good thing from there.

    Mintui: Okay dear.

    Myself: Thanks for your commitment.
