An Exciting Football Match Held in Gafargaon College
Sujon Ahmed, Mymensingh, 05 April: An exciting football match between 1st year and 2nd year students of the college was held in a befitting manner in the college field. In the match 1st year students defeated their seniors by 1-0 goal after extra time. It is the first time in the history of the college that 1st year students won any title by defeating 2nd year students.
Presided over by the principal of the college, the match was attended by the local Member of Parliament as the chief guest. Distinguished guests, elite guardians, and the students of the college also attended the function. The match was full of excitement. Both teams tried their best to win. Both of them were equally strong and showed their excellent skill and performance.
Before distributing the prizes, the chief guest delivered his valuable speech. In his speech he gave much importance to the need for arranging such a tournament in the college field. He encouraged the students for their laudable performances. Mahmudul Hasan, a second year student, was selected the best player of the tournament.
