Write a dialogue between you and your friend, Sharika on “Illiteracy problem and its eradication”.

Myself: Hi! Shakira, you seem to be very gloomy to day. What’s up?

Shakira: Really it is very shocking and frustrating for us. It frustrated all of our development programs.

Myself: What’s that? What are you talking about?

Shakira: I am talking about our illiteracy problem. If we can’t dispel the darkness of illiteracy, we will lag behind in all respect.

Myself: What is illiteracy? Why do you blame others for lagging behind? Have you forgotten that ours is a poor country?

Shakira: He who is know nothing is called an illiterate. An illiterate doesn’t know how to read and write. So he is not conscious of his duties and responsibilities.

Myself:  So how can it affect our plan and mission?

Shakira: Actually illiteracy keeps a man diving in the vast ocean of darkness. The illiterate doesn’t know to improve his lot and contribute to the progress of the country.

Myself:  How can we eradicate illiteracy?

Shakira: It is really a mammoth task only for the government. All and sundry should come forward to eradicate illiteracy?

Myself: What are the other procedures to be followed?

Shakira: All out efforts should be taken to educate all the people. Our present literacy rate is not satisfactory.

Myself: Can you tell me about the steps taken by the government?

Shakira: Primary education has been made compulsory and girls’ education up to class xii is not only free but also stipend able. A lot of programs have been launched for mass education. There are a lot of old literacy centers in the country.

Myself: So hopefully, we will come out of this illiteracy problem very soon.

Shakira: May Allah grant your wish and make our society enlightened with the light of education.

Myself: Thank you for your polite conversation. I come to know a lot from you.

Shakira: All the best and see you again.
