A balanced diet generally contains carbohydrate, fat, fiber, protein, Minerals, vitamins, and water. All these elements are essential for a good health. They are easily found around us. But we need to take them in adequate quantity.

Carbohydrate contains a large part of our daily meal. Rice, bread, noodles, other grain based foods are of this group. Fat consists of several fatty acids. Animal fat, nut, fish, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnut, and different dairy products are sources of fat. Protein comes from meat, egg, grain, milk, and cheese. Carbohydrate, protein and fat provides us energy to work. If we don’t take them in adequate quantity, we become feeble and weak, and can’t work properly.

Mineral of a balanced diet consists of calcium, chloride, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, iron, selenium, zinc, and sodium. These are found in mineral water and in different chemical food items. There are different types of vitamins like A, B, C, D, E, and K. Vitamin deficiency results in different diseases. Fiber and water is mostly necessary for proper digestion and blood circulation.

If one does not take balanced diet, one may suffer from mental agility, mental disorder, cancer, obesity, hyponatremia and many other diseases.
